Intro

Traveling has its ups and downs. The experience is enjoyable, and worthwhile. The planning for your trip, however, can be stressful. Specifically speaking, when planning for “big trips” to popular destinations in large cities, it can be very difficult. Luckily, Wheelock Travel is here to help!

We have taken the time to plan out a 4 day trip to Paris, France, just for you. Each day has been carefully considered as to how you can get the most out of your vacation. And remember, you can always adjust this plan to better suit your personal needs. Let us get into it!

Day One: Arrival

Your first day there should be reserved for resting and recuperating from the traveling you just did. Jet lag happens when flying across multiple time zones disrupts your natural sleep rhythms. You will typically feel extremely tired after a flight. Even if you seem pumped up at first, you are going to crash eventually. The longer you prolong your period of rest, the harder you will crash, and the harder it will be to recover from it. That is why it is so important to save your first day for relaxation.

This doesn’t mean you have to do absolutely nothing. You can plan to  participate in low energy activities – such as a slow-paced lunch at a small, local park, or a long, lazy boat ride across the lake or through a canal.

Day Two: Leisurely Exploration

After a low-energy first day at your temporary residence, it’s time to take a look around. Go out exploring!

There are plenty of cafés and shops for you to pop into. Paris, France is famed for its staple foods: Bread, wine, and cheese. Buttery croissants, fresh baguettes, and sweet macarons are some delectable pastries you simply must try. Brie cheese is one of the most popular there. With a hard rind and a melty, gooey center, it’s great to spread on bread or crackers. Wine tasting in Paris is a highly entertaining ordeal. There are plenty of Wine Bars you can find and Wine Tours you can book in France, all at your convenience.

Day Three: Tourism

Your third day in Paris, France, can be saved for the important destinations. You would not want to miss the chance to see famous monuments in person, or take in the sight of legendary paintings and sculptures.

The Louvre, or Musée du Louvre, is the most-visited museum in the world, located in Paris, France. It houses over 35 thousand works of art and 380 thousand objects across eight curated departments, covering 10 thousand years of history.

And last but not least is the famed Eiffel tower. One of the beloved wonders of the world, this structure is around the same height as an 81-story building, making it the tallest edifice in Paris. Everyone wants a photo in front of this charming architectural masterpiece. Don’t miss your chance!

Day Four: Departure

With all the fun that’s been had, the sights seen and the food tasted, it is time to head back. The final day should be reserved for packing bags, preparing for the long trip home, and engaging in any last minute activities.

Always make sure to do the packing and prep first and foremost, so that when you are tired out from whatever remaining plans you have, you are already set to go. This ensures you have as much fun and freedom that you can during your final day – Instead of being consumed by the anxieties of when you are going to leave, or the stress of when you are going to pack up your things.
