Why I love Vacationing in the Caribbean For My Winter Vacation Break

So much tropical paradise, so little vacation time to see it all. Many U.S. travelers for the Bahamas or Jamaica, but there are lots of other tropical destinations to check out in the Caribbean. So how do you choose the right one? If you know yourself and know what you want, you can come pretty close to vacation perfection. But that is easier said than done. So here are some reasons why most people love the Caribbean for a Winter Vacation Break.

In the Caribbean, you will find at least one beautiful beach that you can image. Here are some of the top beaches in the Caribbean.

  • Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana sits on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, abutting the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. This part of the Dominican Republic is known for its 32km of amazing beaches with crystal clear waters. Some of the more popular things that you can do at the Dominican Republic are zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking and sailing for the ocean going adventurers.

 

  • Varadero, Cuba

Varadero is one of those little gems in Cuba that sits on the narrow Hicacos Peninsular and is a popular beach resort town. What you will find here are some very nice all-inclusive hotel and spa complexes with amazing golf courses nearby. Great white sands, clear blue waters with soft lapping channel waves. Famed gangster, Al Capone used to frequent the short line resorts here. The city has a lot of great history and still maintains its glamorous luster that has been appealing to the high rollers. Don’t forget for the adventuresome there are virgin forests, caves and lots of nature to explore in this destination resort spot.

 

  • Saint Martin Island, North America

Saint Martin is an island in the northeast Caribbean just east of Puerto Rico. This vacation destination is wonderful for relaxing in the sand or playing in the waves, but something to be aware of: at these beaches clothing is optional. Some of the best things to do at St. Martin are going hiking near Loterie Farm, check out the limestone cliffs at Cupe beach, get some great photos at Maho Bay and don’t forget the Casino Royale which has 13 casinos to choose from for a great nightlife.

 

  • Nassau, Bahamas

This Bahamian capital and bustling cruise port is the largest city in the Bahamas. It’s a popular cruise stop and is known for its beaches, coral reefs and destinations for diving and snorkeling. Some of the amazing beaches that you will find in Nassau are Montagu beach, Caves Beach, Junkanoo beach, Adelaide beach, Jaws beach, Love beach and Cable beach. These beaches have beautiful white sands and amazingly blue waters to relax in.

 

  • Negril, Jamaica

Negril is a very neat relaxed town in western Jamaica. It has miles of white sand beaches with shallow bays and calm pale waters. The moment you walk into beaches Negril you have entered the carefree zone. Negril is where the term “laid back” was invented. At seven mile beach on the water’s edge, you will find everything you possibly imagine. They have even put a water park there.

 

  • Cayo Largo Del Sur, Cuba

At this small resort town in Cuba, just off the coast of the northwestern part of the main island in the Caribbean Sea, you will find beaches, scuba diving, snorkeling, large turtles and beautiful coral reefs. Cayo Largo is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The south coastline has more than 20km of gorgeous beaches with fine white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters.

 

  • The Landings, St. Lucia

This amazing destination has been open since 2007 and has 1,2 and 3 bedroom villas along the St. Lucia’s gorgeous bay. They have a 7,000 square foot Rock Resorts Spa which is great for those that want to be pampered during their vacation. Don’t forget they have a great fitness gallery and Beach Club Restaurant with first rate service too. Things to do at St. Lucia are vast and have lots of variety. They have three swimming pools, two hot tubs, a kids club, Soleil Spa and a variety of non-motorized water sports to partake in.

 

These are just some of the great destinations that are available in the Caribbean. These resorts can be great for singles, couples or families. With many of them being all-inclusive resorts, everything is in one great big package leaving nothing to chance. There are a couple other destinations that we did not mention here but are great to go to also. Cancun, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya have some of the best and biggest resorts and prices that you just can’t beat.
