Have you planned out what you are going to do for spring break this year? School will be out, and spring break is a great time for family fun and great adventures. It does not matter where you go for your fun this year, but here are some ideas to get the whole family into spring break mode.
Vacation Spot #1 – Atlantis Paradise Island Resort
This resort lives up to its name and beyond. The small island in the Bahamas is great for children and their parents with breathtaking surroundings at a luxurious resort. They have a fantastic Atlantis Kids Adventure program that is great for kids ages three years old to 12 years old. The adult park of this park is simply astounding. You can experience the Dolphin Cay unique environment and interact with dolphins. With a 50 foot vertical drop into total darkness slipping through a 200-foot long tube into an underground cave all the while leaving you breathless and wanting more.

If you love the cold and snow, then this is one of the top resorts in the North East. Kids will not mind being students here while enrolled in their ski or snowboarders school. For the less adventurous you can cross-country ski in some of the most majestic settings in Vermont. Located in Jeffersonville, Vermont Smugglers Notch is conveniently located close to Burlington, VT where you can get caught up in the hustle and bustle of city life and then retreat to the quiet relaxing village of Jeffersonville.
Vacation Spot #3 – Ranchos del Los Caballeros
Is there a little bit of cowboy or cowgirl in you? Saddle up for one of a unique spring breaks you might ever have. This dude ranch in Arizona is like a sleep-away camp for the entire family that doesn’t skimp on the accommodations or food. Ranchos de Los Caballeros has been giving families the cowboy experience since it started in 1947. One of the great features of this dude ranch is most of the kids activities are FREE of charge. There are crafts, hiking, sports and scavenger hunts galore to participate in. You get the best of both worlds at this ranch and a great family vacation that will create a lifetime of memories.
Vacation Spot #4 – Kauai Surf School
If you can swim, then the Kauai Surf School is the place to go for surfing lessons. The folks at the school believe that if you can swim, then you can surf. Families are encouraged to go in group lessons, and they typically have a 4 to 1 ratio of students to teachers. Parents can accompany their children in the lessons too. Right close by is the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort, which is a favorite among families that come here. They have spectacular freshwater pools with waterfalls, grottos, and a 150-foot slide. If the parents want to escape for a little alone time, don’t feel guilty here. They have a great kids camp called Camp Hyatt where children from ages three years old to 12 years old can learn to hula, meet some of the resident parrots and take part in very cool cultural crafts.
